Welcome to OWLZ!
Our mission is to help individuals and school districts develop outdoor resource areas (Outdoor Wilderness Learning Zones) for your community!
We will help you:
- Design your area
- Get appropriate approvals
- Solicit donations from the public
- Reach out to vendors in your area who can help
- Recruit, gather and organize volunteers
- Provide options for sustainability
- Create a curriculum tailored to your OWLZ and school
Give students time out of their usual learning environment.
Like having a field trip destination in the backyard, an OWLZ provides new experiences for students and faculty, who get a welcomed break from the monotony and routine of the classroom.
Go green.
An OWLZ has a positive impact on the culture of schools, communities, and families, teaching students environmental awareness and interaction.
